Terms of Service

1. The service

NowPlaying provides now-playing overlays, widget styling, public profiles, announcements, partner pages and related integrations for streaming tools such as OBS and TikTok Live Studio. Features may be added, changed, limited or discontinued.

2. Accounts and connected platforms

Accounts use third-party OAuth providers. You must provide accurate information, keep widget URLs and account access secure, and use only accounts and platform data you are authorized to connect. Provider permissions are optional and can be revoked by unlinking the provider or through that provider.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

• break applicable law or a connected provider’s terms or developer policies;
• infringe privacy, intellectual-property or other rights;
• upload unlawful, deceptive, hateful, malicious or unauthorized material;
• probe, bypass, overload, scrape or interfere with security, rate limits, APIs or infrastructure;
• share access tokens, private widget URLs or API keys with unauthorized parties;
• misrepresent affiliation, partner status, live status or another person’s identity.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including styles, profile text, logos, links and application materials. You grant NowPlaying a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate and promote the feature you selected. You confirm you have the necessary rights. You can remove or unpublish content where the interface provides that option.

5. Public and partner features

Published styles, public profiles, announcements and approved partner information are visible without signing in and may be indexed or shared. Partner approval is discretionary and may be withdrawn. Live status and follower/viewer counts depend on third-party data and may be delayed or inaccurate.

6. Third-party services

The service interacts with Google/YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Discord, Spotify, Last.fm, ListenBrainz, MusicBrainz/Cover Art Archive, storage/CDN and email providers. Their terms and availability also apply. NowPlaying does not control those providers and is not responsible for their outages, policy changes or content.

7. Moderation and suspension

We may remove content, limit APIs, revoke tokens, suspend accounts or end partnerships when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, policy enforcement or legal compliance. Where available, you may use the appeal process. Serious or repeated abuse may lead to permanent suspension.

8. Intellectual property

NowPlaying branding, site design and software are owned by the operator or licensors. Music metadata, artwork, provider names and provider marks belong to their respective owners. No provider sponsors or endorses NowPlaying unless expressly stated.

9. Availability and warranties

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, exact metadata, platform availability or suitability for a particular production. Back up important styles and keep alternative stream layouts available.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost revenue, lost content, stream interruption or third-party platform failures. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Ending use and changes

You may stop using the service, unlink providers and request deletion at any time. We may update these Terms; the updated date shows the current version. Material changes may be announced in-product. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
